  5. COMMAND TYPE: Internal                  VERSION: 2.0 and up

  7. USE: DATE [mm-dd-yy]
  8.  
  9. If DATE is entered with no parameters, the current date will be
  10. displayed and you will be prompted to enter a new date.  If the date
  11. is correct, press ENTER.
  12. If you wish, you may enter the date immediately after DATE in the
  13. format mm-dd-yy.  The format used to display the date is a function of
  14. the country selected in the <COUNTRY> command in <CONFIG.SYS>.  European
  15. formats will be dd-mm-yy.  On input, you may use "-" or "/" as
  16. separators.  This command also sets the hardware clock, if one is
  17. present in your computer (AT only)
  18. If there is no <AUTOEXEC.BAT> file, the commands DATE and <TIME> are executed
  19. automatically when the computer is booted.
